About the role

Millcreek of Pontotoc is a 51-bed psychiatric treatment residential facility for youth and adolescents aged 6-21. We are dedicated to setting the standard for nursing care in behavioral health.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor patient health and administer basic care utilizing the nursing process within the LPN/LVN scope of practice.
  • Collaborate with others to ensure that patients’ physical, biopsychosocial, age, developmental and cultural needs are met.
  • Provide for the basic comfort of patients, implement nursing interventions identified in the plan of care, and address maintenance of wellness.
  • Communicate therapeutically and professionally with patients, visitors, coworkers, and others involved in the patient's treatment.
  • Report status changes and concerns to registered nurses and doctors.
  • Ensure thorough, accurate reporting and documentation of patient symptoms, responses, and progress.
  • Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required.
  • One or more years' of nursing experience within clinical area of service provided by facility preferred.
  • Current LPN/LVN license as required by state.
  • CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire).

  • Full-Time 3x12s - Night Shift.
  • PRN - Day or Night Shift.
