Pay

Hourly Wage Estimate: $21.10 - $30.60 per hour. The estimate represents the typical wage range of candidates hired and may be adjusted based on specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees in this role. The typical candidate is hired below the midpoint of the range.

Schedule

Full‑time (Monday – Friday, day shift). No nights, no on‑call, no weekends, no holidays.

Job Summary

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) needed for LewisGale Physicians Cardiology. The LPN will provide clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high‑quality, efficient care, supporting a collaborative team focused on patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage efficient flow of patients, including screening, preparation for exam, instructing patients on collection of necessary samples/tests, and obtaining vitals.
• Notify patients of test results and follow‑up appointments; instruct patients and families about medications and treatment instructions.
• Maintain patient records, including chart entries and posting lab/tests and examination results.
• Schedule tests and treatments, arrange referrals to specialists, and obtain pre‑authorizations when directed by the provider.

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited school of practical nursing (required).
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a hospital or clinic setting (preferred).
• Current Licensed Practical Nurse license in accordance with state regulations.
