Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse, Rehabilitation
About the role
The Nurse Manager oversees nursing operations within an assigned unit, supervising staff, adhering to clinical policies, and collaborating with leadership to optimize patient care.
Responsibilities
- Supervise nursing staff and ensure adherence to clinical policies and standards.
- Collaborate with leadership to optimize patient care delivery.
- Administer medications safely, accurately, and based on patient age and clinical condition.
- Minimize potential for medication errors by following proper medication administration procedures.
- Assist the RN with initial and reassessments per policy.
- Identify and implement appropriate rehabilitation nursing interventions.
- Perform timely and accurate Quality Improvement (QI) assessments under RN supervision.
- Deliver care based on patient response to treatment and update the interdisciplinary plan accordingly.
- Achieve patient safety and reduce medical errors by assessing and reassessing pain.
- Use appropriate pain management techniques and educate patients and families.
- Develop and implement individualized teaching plans based on patient and family learning needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- LPN license required.
- Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
- CPR/BLS certification required.
- IV certification highly preferred or must be obtained within 6 months.
- Minimum of six months of Medical/Surgical experience in an acute care setting preferred.

- Registered Nurse (RN) position available.
- Location: Louisville, KY.
- Schedule: PRN.
