Licensed Practical Nurse Family Medicine

About the role

Lee Physician Group has a full-time LPN position open in their Family Medicine Office, which serves as the location of their Graduate Medical Education program. The LPN will manage In Baskets through Epic, administer injections, and assist in rooming patients as needed. This role focuses on delivering an excellent customer experience while ensuring patient care is safe, effective, and efficient.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient health data directly or telephonically in a systematic and ongoing manner, based on patient response to treatments, medications, and changes in condition.
• Implement patient care and education following providers' orders or under the guidance of a registered nurse, incorporating knowledge of patient's age and cultural diversity.
• Administer treatments and medications safely and document care accurately.
• Ensure care delivery complies with the Florida Nurse Practice Act, licensure requirements, regulatory agencies, and Lee Health policies and procedures.
• Engage in professional communication, patient education, and collaboration with healthcare team members to achieve desired patient outcomes.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited Practical/Vocational Nursing program required.
• Physician Practice/Outpatient experience preferred.
• BLS (American Heart Association/Basic Life Support) certification required.
• 30-hour IV course may be required based on specialty.
• Current LPN license in the state of Florida.
• Above-average written and verbal communication skills.
• Adaptability and participation in technological changes.
• Proficiency in Electronic Health Record (EHR) preferred.

Schedule

Full-time, Shift 1: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Early/late hours and/or weekends may be required.

Pay

$22.34 - $29.04 per hour (minimum to midpoint pay rate).
