About the role

Position Overview: A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the Neuro department provides patient care utilizing the nursing process under supervision or the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN). They are responsible for maintaining professional accountability, coordinating patient care with other departments, and ensuring patient rights and confidentiality are upheld.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care according to standards, policies, and procedures
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate care
• Maintain patient confidentiality and rights
• Perform duties consistent with organizational mission, values, and standards

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
• Current LPN license in Missouri and compliance with State Board requirements
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; LPN‑IV certification required within a set timeframe
• Experience is welcome but not mandatory; new graduates are encouraged to apply
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and assist with patient handling up to 50 lbs
