Licensed Practical Nurse

Job Responsibilities

• Review provider schedules and organize patient flow.
• Room patients and assist with exam and procedure preparation.
• Obtain and document patient history, chief complaint, vital signs, medications, allergies, and other relevant clinical information in the electronic medical record.
• Ambulate, transfer, dress, position, and prepare patients for examination, treatment, and minor in-office procedures.
• Perform dressing changes, suture and staple removal.
• Splint and cast as ordered.
• Observe, document, and report unusual findings, changes in patient condition, or abnormal responses to the provider.
• Communicate care plans and provide education on treatment, splint or cast care, and durable medical equipment.
• Enter provider-directed orders and related clinical information into the electronic medical record accurately and promptly.
• Maintain exam rooms and clinical areas in a clean, organized, and adequately stocked condition.
• Clean, wrap, autoclave, and maintain instruments appropriately according to infection prevention and safety standards.
• Adhere to established infection control, patient safety, confidentiality, HIPAA, and organizational policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support clinic operations and delivery of high-quality orthopedic urgent care services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current CPR certification.
• Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
