Responsibilities

• Carry out daily nursing functions as per company, state, federal, and local regulations.
• Admit, transfer, and discharge residents, documenting care and services provided.
• Participate in the orientation of new residents and family members.
• Attend facility surveys (inspections) as scheduled.
• Ensure high-quality, positive clinical outcomes and resident/family satisfaction during shifts.
• Act as a resource for all staff within the facility regarding the quality of services provided.
• Administer medications and treatments promptly and according to facility policy.
• Receive, transcribe, and execute physician orders, if applicable.

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved Licensed Vocational or Registered Nurse program.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility preferred.
• Current BLS/CPR certification (required for all SNFs).

Qualifications

• Must be able to administer medications and treatments according to facility policy.
• Must demonstrate ability to receive, transcribe, and carry out physician orders, if allowed by Nurse Practice Act.

Skills

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of long-term care practices and regulations.
