Responsibilities
- Carry out daily nursing functions as per company, state, federal, and local regulations.
- Admit, transfer, and discharge residents, documenting care and services provided.
- Participate in the orientation of new residents and family members.
- Attend facility surveys (inspections) as scheduled.
- Ensure high-quality, positive clinical outcomes and resident/family satisfaction during shifts.
- Act as a resource for all staff within the facility regarding the quality of services provided.
- Administer medications and treatments promptly and according to facility policy.
- Receive, transcribe, and execute physician orders, if applicable.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved Licensed Vocational or Registered Nurse program.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility preferred.
- Current BLS/CPR certification (required for all SNFs).
Qualifications
- Must be able to administer medications and treatments according to facility policy.
- Must demonstrate ability to receive, transcribe, and carry out physician orders, if allowed by Nurse Practice Act.
Skills
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of long-term care practices and regulations.
