Licensed Practical Nurse

About the role

We are seeking compassionate Licensed Practical Nurses to join our team at Advanced Recovery Systems. Our mission is to provide evidence-based, expert care for addiction and mental health conditions, connecting those in need to life-saving treatment.

Responsibilities

• Resolve pending issues from the previous shift, such as missed or incomplete labs or treatments, incomplete admissions or discharges, missing data for continuity of care
• Conduct Compliance Audits related to infection control, ensuring cleanliness and adherence to protocols
• Manage medication storage, returns, destruction, and communication with the pharmacy to resolve issues
• Order supplies, manage inventory, maintain supply room, and track lab orders and medical transfers
• Coordinate and plan admission workflows, print requisitions, and ensure collected samples are properly labeled
• Perform Level of Care transfers in AVATAR, assist with work schedules, and help BHTs with observation sheet creation/modification
• Conduct admission and discharge audits, checking for proper completion of nursing procedures
• Participate in regular department meetings and staff meetings
• Collaborate with the treatment team to incorporate medical issues into treatment planning
• Communicate effectively with other staff members and demonstrate teamwork skills
• Show flexibility and adaptability, responding positively to changing situations
• Accept and utilize supervision, addressing problems noted by supervisors

Requirements

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
• Certification in Practical Nursing or equivalent as per state law
• Licensed to practice in the State of Florida
• Higher education preferred
• Two years' experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse, preferably in a Behavioral health setting
• Demonstrate ability to collaborate, communicate, work as a team, and accept supervision
• Show objectivity and maturity under stress
