About the role
Provides nursing services in an office setting, working as part of a care team to improve quality, throughput, efficiency, and the patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care or arrange for the provision of appropriate care.
- Accurately documents all patient care/interactions in patient medical record.
- Participates in telephone triage.
- Ensures all ordered laboratory and diagnostic tests are tracked and logged, and presents results to the provider.
- Pre-visit planning with provider and care team.
- Medication administration, including injections.
- Assists with vital sign checks, height, and weight.
- Reviews and updates medication lists.
- Aids in health maintenance requirements.
- Aids in patient inquiries for prescription refills, appointment scheduling, and referral authorization.
- Enters orders in EMR (computerized physician order entry CPOE) per provider order.
- Performs waived laboratory tests and diagnostic testing, including Point of Care testing.
- Completes lab requisitions and prepares specimens for pick-up.
- Reviews patient summaries at the end of the visit.
- Adheres to state Immunization Registry (NCIR) and SC DHEC regulations.
Requirements
- Licensed Practical Nurse with current license to practice in applicable state.
- Graduate of an Accredited School of practical nursing.
- Previous medical office experience preferred.
- BLS required per policy guidelines.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an Accredited School of practical nursing.
- Experience: Previous medical office experience preferred.
- Certifications: BLS required per policy guidelines.
Skills
- Knowledge of standard precautions.
- Ability to comply with policies, OSHA standards, CLIA regulations, and TJC standards.
- Manual finger dexterity.

Pay
$24.10 - $36.15 per hour based on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
Full time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8a-5p.
