About the role

The Lead Install Technician facilitates all aspects of a given installation with little supervision. Responsibilities include customer communication, setup, installation, and cleanup. Overseeing multiple assistants, they must inform their Field Manager of any issues and offer solutions to maintain efficiency and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain professional appearance and attitude at all times.
  • Maintain required levels of truck stock items.
  • Recite and learn company Mission, Vision, and Value statements.
  • Utilize all safety precautions and wear appropriate safety equipment.
  • Clean truck as needed, including exterior washing and interior cleanings.
  • Operate company vehicle following all safety standards and applicable laws.
  • Properly use all tools and ladders in a safe manner.
  • Report any problems with company tools or vehicles to the office.
  • Work well with customers, co-workers, and other subcontractors.
  • Pick up parts, supplies, and equipment from distributors in company vehicle as needed or required.
  • Read and understand blueprints.
  • Complete installation of plumbing projects.
  • Complete necessary paperwork to support invoices, estimates, orders, inventory, timecards, and other information.
  • Install and lay out plumbing systems according to code.
  • Connect plumbing fixtures per code.
  • Check out materials on inventory listing from warehouse.
  • Fill out return paperwork for excess project materials and return to warehouse manager.
  • Use and perform workflow process on service software through mobile device.
  • Obtain positive customer Google reviews.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years residential install experience.
  • Valid driver’s license and insurable through company insurance carrier.
  • Valid Illinois State Plumbing License.
  • Able to communicate clearly in English both verbally and in writing.
  • Able to work with tools used in the job in a safe manner.

Skills

  • Pass Illinois State Plumbing License Exam.
  • Pass Illinois State Plumbing License Exam.
  • Leadership abilities.
  • Residential new construction and remodel experience.

Schedule

This is a full-time position with Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. hours. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
