About the role

MindFit Counseling is a new practice in the Westfield area looking to expand by hiring a fully licensed clinician to accept new referrals. We seek someone comfortable working with children (ages 5–12), adolescents, and adults. Clinicians with a specialty or interest in Play Therapy, EMDR, Brainspotting, Imago, or other specific and popular modalities are preferred. Availability during some evenings, some weekend days, or both is required to accommodate client needs—this is part of your 40-hour work week, not extra.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, compassionate, and ethical outpatient mental health therapy to clients as scheduled.
  • Complete clinical documentation within 72 hours of service (daily completion recommended).
  • Actively participate as a positive member of the clinical environment.
  • Maintain good standing with the appropriate licensing board and insurance entities.
  • Complete all recommended continuing education requirements and stay current with updated research and best practices.
  • Participate in networking events to promote yourself, connect with other clinicians, and elicit referrals.
  • Be aware of community referral sources and refer clients when necessary.
  • Secure client information per HIPAA standards and maintain up-to-date case files within the electronic health record (EHR).
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including completion of Social Security/Disability forms, authorization and billing forms, phone calls, and participation in case consultation meetings.
  • Maintain a minimum productivity rate of 20 billable hours per week.

Requirements

  • Master’s or doctoral degree in a mental health-related field.
  • Licensed within the State of Indiana.
  • Training, credentialing, or working toward credentialing in Play Therapy, EMDR, Brainspotting, or another specialized modality.
  • Experience or willingness to provide telehealth sessions upon request.
  • Ability to work independently and implement time management strategies.
  • Skill in applying varied interventions with individuals and families.
  • Skill in working with children (ages 5–12) and adolescents.
  • Ability to demonstrate positive team interactions with clinic staff.
  • Awareness of personal strengths and appropriate timing for referrals.
  • Ability to provide necessary self-care.

Credentialing with Anthem, UHC, and/or Aetna is preferred but not required. Previous experience in home-based mental health, office-based counseling, school-based counseling protocol, or knowledge of EHR is desirable but not required.
