About the role

We are currently searching for a compassionate and professional Nursing Home Administrator to join our friendly, caring and supportive team at Avantara Milbank.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and direct the facility's overall operation in accordance with residents’ needs, government regulations, the communities’ policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Avantara Milbank by instilling a positive and inclusive facility culture.
  • Set and attain facility wide goals, creative problem solving, and oversee all aspects of facility operation.
  • Ensure residents are comfortable and safe by utilizing knowledge, skills, and attention to detail.

Requirements

  • Leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Development and implementation of a facility management system.
  • Administration, management, supervision, and coordination of all departments to ensure appropriate care.
  • Oversight of a facility quality assurance process.
  • Financial management of a health care facility.
  • Knowledge of pertinent local, state, federal, and other regulations and ability to implement and maintain compliance with these regulations governing the facility, patient/resident care, and reimbursement.
  • Experience in developing professional relationships and representing the facility in professional and community activities.
  • Participation in educational programs for continued professional development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Management or related field.
  • An unencumbered State of South Dakota Nursing Home Administrator License (LNHA).
  • Prior Administrator or Department Director experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility.
