Licensed Nursing Home Administrator
LNHA Role Description
Responsible for leading all administrative functions of the facility, including finances, clinical operations, resident satisfaction, resident care, employee relations, and general facility operations.
Oversee staff engagement and ensure a positive culture aligned with the facility’s values and culture map.
Ensure excellent resident care by monitoring services delivered and overall quality.
Identify problems or deficiencies and develop effective action plans to correct them; implement changes as needed.
Manage the financial performance of the facility, including oversight of all business operations.
Develop and implement short-term (quarterly) and long-term (annual) strategic plans that support facility goals.
Responsible for annual budgeting, reviewing P&L statements, and analyzing statistical and financial reports.
Develop, implement, and evaluate programs to promote recruitment, retention, career development, and continuing education for staff.
Interview, hire, and orient direct reports.
Monitor productivity of direct reports and implement changes or support as needed.
Ensure accurate medical records are maintained for billing, auditing, and regulatory compliance in accordance with approved guidelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- Current State Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA)
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an Administrator or Executive Director in a long-term care setting
- Strong working knowledge of federal and state regulations related to long-term care
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups
- Proven leadership ability in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to drive innovation and implement new ideas within the facility
