About the role
The New Hampshire Veterans Home has part-time vacancies for Licensed Nursing Assistants I-III / LMNAs.Proposed Schedules Include:
- All shifts available
- Must work equivalent of one weekend/month
Responsibilities
LNA I
- Assists residents with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Ensures proper dietary intake and hydration
- Maintains cleanliness and hygiene in resident rooms and common areas
- Prepares residents for appointments and medical team consults
- Demonstrates empathy and patience in providing care
LNA II
- Exercises some independent judgement in providing daily care
- Communicates resident needs to others when outside own scope of duties
- Follows medical orders and acts in accordance with established care plans
- Coordinates visits from consulting professional health team members
LNA III
- Performs treatment procedures within the LNA scope of practice
- Coordinates visits from consulting professional health team members
- Mentors/instructs new nursing assistants and makes suggestions for care, treatment, and practice/procedural improvements
Qualifications
LNA I
- Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent credential
- License/Certification: NH Nursing Assistant license, Drivers license
- Other Requirements: May be required to work non-traditional work hours, must possess physical stamina for prolonged standing and to perform tasks such as lifting, transferring, and transporting residents and materials
LNA II
- Education/Experience: Equivalent combination of 1 year education and experience after completion of high school
- License/Certification: NH Nursing Assistant license, Drivers license
- Other Requirements: May be required to work non-traditional work hours, must possess physical stamina for prolonged standing and to perform tasks such as lifting, transferring, and transporting residents and materials
LNA III
- Education/Experience: Equivalent combination of 3 years of education and experience after completion of high school
- License/Certification: NH Nursing Assistant license, Drivers license
- Other Requirements: Satisfactory completion of five NH Nursing Board Approved competencies, may be required to work non-traditional work hours, must possess physical stamina for prolonged standing and to perform tasks such as lifting, transferring, and transporting residents and materials
