Location: Tilton, NH | Full-time | 1st shift (6:45am - 3:15pm) with rotating weekends (additional $2.00/hour)

About the Role

The New Hampshire Veterans Home is seeking a Licensed Nursing Assistant I-III (LMNA) to provide essential support and direct care to residents. This role involves assisting with daily living activities, monitoring health conditions, and ensuring a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for NH Veterans. Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with daily living activities.
  • Monitor and report changes in residents' health conditions.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and enriching environment.
  • Mentor new nursing assistants (LNA II and III).
  • Suggest improvements for care, treatment, and procedural practices (LNA III).
  • May be required to work non-traditional hours to meet facility needs.
  • Perform tasks requiring physical stamina, such as lifting, transferring, and transporting residents.

Requirements

LNA I

  • High school diploma or equivalent credential.
  • New Hampshire Nursing Assistant license.
  • Valid driver’s license.

LNA II & III

  • Same as LNA I, with additional experience and responsibilities.
  • Ability to work independently with general oversight (LNA III).
  • Mentorship of new nursing assistants.

Trainee Option

  • Candidates without a high school diploma, equivalent credential, or NH Nursing Assistant license may be hired in "trainee status."
  • Must obtain NH Nursing Assistant license within 6 months of hire (onsite training program may be available).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in long-term or geriatric care.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.

Pay

$19.24 - $34.32 hourly, with additional compensation:

  • Up to $10.00/week for direct care.
  • $2.00/hour for rotating weekend shifts.
