Job Responsibilities

  • Engage on-site or via telehealth with clients experiencing mental health or substance use crises.
  • Establish crisis assessments and collaborate with care coordinators and family members or other community supports.
  • Maintain client safety and plan for appropriate levels of care following crisis intervention.
  • Update clinical knowledge and use appropriate treatment methods based on diagnosis.
  • Follow practices for the protection of personal health information and report breaches immediately.
  • Communicate professionally with colleagues, supervisors, and other helping professionals to support client treatment goals.
  • Attend external agency meetings, clinic staff meetings, and periodic trainings as required.
  • Participate in regular individual supervision meetings.

Qualifications

  • Holds a Master's degree in mental health counseling, social work, or a related field.
  • Proficient in verbal and written communication.
  • Able to utilize a computer and become competent in the use of an electronic health record.
  • Access to reliable transportation.
  • Passes a CORI and driving background check.
