About the role
The Mobile Crisis Intervention (MCI) Clinician will provide comprehensive community-based emergency mental health and substance use disorder services to individuals and families in crisis.
Responsibilities
- Provides psychiatric and substance use evaluation of individuals and families in crisis in community, clinic, and residential settings.
- Provides crisis intervention services including crisis case management and short-term crisis counseling as follow-up from initial evaluation.
- Maintains linkages with specific community services by providing documented case consultations and problem resolution.
- Offers recommendations to clients regarding service options and support in accessing.
- Performs warm handoffs to other services and care coordination entities.
- Develops and maintains a thorough knowledge of managed care and health insurance systems; provide other clinicians with managed care information and resources pertinent to the crises being managed.
- Maintains necessary documentation and records.
- Actively participates in supervision and staff meetings.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- A Master's Degree and at least 2 years' experience in human services, preferably working in a behavioral health (mental health and/or substance use) community-based outpatient or an acute or diversionary behavioral health setting.
- LCSW, LICSW, or LMHC in state of service preferred, but not required.
- Must have working knowledge of current version of the American Psychiatric Association's Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders.
- Must possess excellent intake, interviewing and assessment skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain satisfactory working relationships with employees and providers.
- Superb interpersonal skills, enthusiasm, and commitment to clients.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment that is benefitted by the independent successes of all staff members.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to develop effective documentation.
- Demonstrated understanding of and competence in serving culturally, ethnically, and socially diverse populations.
- Understanding of social determinants of health and commitment to crisis intervention in the context of whole-person care.

Pay
Pay Range: USD $78,699.50 - USD $85,567.00 /Yr.
