Licensed Fertilizer & Weed Control / Shrub Trimming Crew Lead

About the role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Licensed Fertilizer & Weed Control Technician who can also lead a Shrub Trimming Crew. This dual-role position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in maintaining healthy landscapes, and has leadership experience managing small teams.

Responsibilities

• Fertilizer & Weed Control Technician Duties:
  • Apply fertilizers, herbicides, and pest control treatments in accordance with state regulations
  • Diagnose turf and plant health issues and recommend appropriate treatments
  • Operate and maintain application equipment safely and efficiently
  • Ensure compliance with all licensing and safety requirements
  • Keep accurate records of applications and customer services
• Shrub Trimming Crew Lead Duties:
  • Lead and supervise a crew performing shrub and hedge trimming services
  • Train team members on proper trimming techniques and safety procedures
  • Plan daily routes and ensure timely job completion
  • Maintain quality standards for all landscaping services

Qualifications

• Valid state license for fertilizer and pesticide application (required)
• Previous experience in lawn care, landscaping, or turf management
• Experience leading or supervising a crew preferred
• Strong knowledge of plant health care and pruning techniques
• Able to operate landscaping equipment (trimmers, blowers, sprayers, etc.)
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Able to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in various weather conditions
