JOB SUMMARY

The 988 mental health crisis hotline partners with Sycamores to provide support to people experiencing a mental health crisis. The Mobile Crisis Outreach Program responds 7 days a week from 7:30pm to 8:30am, broken down by flexible shifts. The Mobile Crisis Outreach Clinician provides in-person support including crisis stabilization, safety planning, assessment for danger to self/others, and gravely disabled hold writes.

Responsibilities

  • Respond in person to provide timely support
  • Evaluate individuals for safety and involuntary hospitalization
  • Coordinate care with Mobile Crisis Outreach Program Peer Support Specialist
  • Locate hospitals, ambulances, housing, etc.
  • Provide in-person evaluations within specified geographical areas

Requirements

  • Masters’ Degree in related field required
  • Licensed in the State of California as LCSW, LMFT, LPCC or Psy. D/Ph. D required
  • 2+ years of successful licensure and experience preferred
  • Attend and satisfactorily complete all trainings required by the Agency, federal, state and/or local regulations
  • RUBHS experience preferred
  • Maintain all required licenses and certifications
  • Valid California driver’s license
  • Acceptable driving record as determined Agency policy
  • Proof of auto insurance meeting minimum coverage requirements

Qualifications

  • Physical demands: Ability to manage and/or de-escalate consumers/residents, frequent driving, frequent/continuous intermittent standing/walking, continuous use of bilateral upper extremities, reaching at or above shoulder level, bending, squatting, kneeling, pushing/pulling, twisting, climbing, lifting/carrying up to 25 pounds, continuous use of near vision, hearing, and verbal communication skills, ability to practice physical intervention for safety of consumers, ability to operate a motor vehicle, frequent driving in the community, filling up gas tank of agency van, as needed.

  • Starting Pay Range: $93,150 - $100,136.25 per year for Full-Time employment (starting pay will be based on previous work experience and educational background)
