Licensed Caregiver - Nursing Assistant

About the role

Visiting Angels of Wall is hiring a Licensed Caregiver - Nursing Assistant to support elderly and home-care clients in Southern Monmouth County, including areas like Tinton Falls, Manasquan, Spring Lake, Sea Girt, and Neptune. This role involves helping clients maintain their independence and dignity while recovering or living at home.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Manage light housekeeping tasks
• Encourage clients to meet exercise and fitness goals
• Prompt clients to take prescription medications on schedule
• Assist with shopping, groceries, and meal planning/preparation based on client ability
• Support mobility and ambulation, including doctor visits and walks
• Respond quickly to medical emergencies and report health changes or unusual circumstances

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent time-management skills
• Reliable transportation to client visits
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with basic housekeeping and cooking tasks
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
• Training or knowledge in First Aid and emergency response
• Compassion for vulnerable individuals and a desire to provide meaningful companionship
• Willingness to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards
