The position is a part-time, temporary, seasonal student employment opportunity at California State University, San Bernardino.

Responsibilities

• Addition of print periodicals into our Unified Library Management System (ULMS): Search in the ULMS for the correct record for the serial items to be added to the collection. Add barcodes and item information for new serial items received to their correct records in the ULMS.
• Review bibliographic record and holdings for accuracy of all new serial items received and added.
• Scan all processed and completed library material for shelving into the ULMS to show available.
• Route all completed library material for shelving.
• Quality review and processing of physical library material added to our collection:
• Review of bibliographic records, holdings records and the individual item records in the ULMS for each library material.
• Print physical label for each library material added to the collection.
• Property stamp of each physical library material added to the collection.
• Scan all processed and completed library material for shelving into the ULMS to show available.
• Rout all completed library material for shelving.
• Relable/Repair Of Library Material:
• Identify library material for relable or various repair needs.
• Process material needed for relables using the ULMS and the label printer.
• Identify the specific repair needs for each material received.
• Repair as necessary for each individual library material using specific repair techniques.
• After completion scan in all relabled and repaired material in the ULMS to show as available.
• Rout all completed library material for shelving.

Requirements

• Maintain a 2.0 GPA or greater per semester and cumulative.
• Enrolled in at least halftime units at CSUSB (6 units undergraduate; 3 units graduate).
• International students must have full-time enrollment at CSUSB. (12 units undergraduate; 6 units graduate).

Position Information Work status: Part-Time, Temporary, Seasonal Academic year available hours: Monday through Friday (8:00 am – 5:00 pm). Summer available hours: Monday through Thursday (7:00 am - 5:30 pm).
