Lewis & Clark Outpatient Surgery - Full Time Certified Nursing Assistant

About the role

Located conveniently in Lewiston, Idaho, Lewis & Clark Outpatient Surgery Center was established in 2004 and offers a state-of-the-art environment for outpatient surgery. Regent Surgical Health, since 2001, has been a leader in developing and managing successful surgery center partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the patient admission process.
• Collect patient information including family medical histories.
• Take patients’ vital signs such as blood pressure and heart rate.
• Help patients dress/undress or use the bathroom as needed.
• Turn or reposition patients who are confined to a bed.
• Absorb food and/or hydration.
• Clean rooms, make beds and stock supplies.
• Perform basic medical tasks including wound care and catheter care.
• Assist with patient transfers and discharges.
• Monitor patients for signs of illness or infection.
• Demonstrate a clear understanding of regulations applicable to patient care and/or other Center functions.
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate documentation of patient care provided to ensure the integration of information for use by the healthcare team to ensure quality care.
• Follow the Center’s exposure control plans/blood borne and airborne pathogens.
• Able to problem solve in the presence of stressful situations/work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited CNA training program (per State requirements).
• CNA license.
• BLS certification (as required by individual ASC policy).

Qualifications

• Minimum one year CNA experience.
