About the Role

Assists the Legal Recruiting Manager in partnering with the Hiring Partners and Summer Committee to develop and implement the Chicago office’s recruiting strategy and initiatives. Plays an active role in law student recruiting and manages all aspects of the Summer Associate Program.

Responsibilities

Summer Associate Program

  • Manage all aspects of the Summer Associate Program in partnership with the Legal Recruiting Manager, Summer Committee Chairs, and Summer Committee.
  • Oversee all elements of the Summer Associate Program, including onboarding and orientation, mentor and office assignments, work allocations, the offer process, and training and professional development programming.
  • Plan and execute program events, including social functions, training sessions, and evening events, ensuring a cohesive and engaging experience for summer associates.
  • Maintain comprehensive tracking of summer associate work assignments and performance evaluations throughout the program.
  • Availability to work extended hours during peak periods and attend summer and fall events, as needed.

Law Student Recruiting

  • Prepare interview schedules for summer associate candidates.
  • Coordinate and monitor candidate follow-up throughout the recruiting process.
  • Partner with the Legal Recruiting Manager to track interview evaluations, hiring targets, and other recruiting data for the Hiring Committee.
  • Provide candidate information, feedback, and recruiting reports to the Legal Recruiting Manager and Hiring Partners.
  • Assist with coordinating on-campus and virtual recruiting events at various law schools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from accredited college or university.
  • A minimum of three years of attorney recruiting experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suites.

  • Law firm experience.
  • Law school recruiting experience.

Pay

The target salary range for this role is $80,000 - $94,000 if in Illinois. Salaries vary by location and are based on numerous factors, including, but not limited to, the relevant market, skills, experience, and education of the selected candidate. Our compensation package also includes bonus eligibility.
