About the role
Our Legal–Litigation department seeks an experienced litigation attorney to support operations in the Dallas, Texas, territory. This role involves managing a variety of litigation matters, collaborating with internal stakeholders, and providing strategic legal guidance in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Defend litigation cases involving auto liability, premises liability, and other personal lines and commercial insurance matters through all phases of the legal process, including case evaluations, strategy development, discovery management, depositions, settlement negotiations, and court representation.
- Provide clear, effective, and timely communication to clients regarding legal and factual developments, offering sound legal advice, explaining complex issues, setting expectations, and ensuring clients are informed of risks, opportunities, and recommended actions.
- Partner closely with claims supervisors and other key stakeholders to align litigation strategy with business objectives, evaluating claims, assessing exposure, controlling costs, and driving optimal outcomes while maintaining efficiency, compliance, and client satisfaction.
Requirements
- Active Texas law license (required).
- Strong academic and professional credentials.
- Five or more years of litigation and trial experience.
- Jury trial experience (preferred).
- Insurance defense experience (strongly preferred).

Pay
The pay range for this position is $130,000 to $180,000 annually, based on education, experience, location, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives based on company and individual performance.
