This role will provide business-aligned guidance focused on governance, compliance, and operational risk management. You will partner with leaders, compliance stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to translate complex issues into practical recommendations. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen responsible execution, improve decision-making, and support sustainable growth within a regulated financial services environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and guide department staff, including training and performance evaluations
  • Foster a collaborative work environment promoting teamwork and professional development
  • Delegate tasks for efficient workflow and timely project completion
  • Lead, mentor, and support a team of research professionals with coaching and feedback
  • Guide complex legal and business research activities supporting Client attorneys
  • Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of research aligned with Client priorities
  • Champion the adoption of AI-powered legal research tools and emerging technologies

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Library and Information Science (MLIS) or equivalent required
  • 5+ years of legal research or knowledge services experience in law firms or corporate settings
  • 3+ years of management experience in leading a research team
  • Familiarity with legal research platforms like Westlaw, LexisNexis, and Bloomberg Law required
  • Experience managing vendor relationships and research budgets effectively
  • Knowledge of emerging legal technologies, including generative AI in legal research preferred
  • Strong project management, organizational, and interpersonal skills

Pay

$100,000 – $120,000 annually
