Legal Intake Specialist

About the role

We are a growing Charleston Personal Injury Law Firm with a fast‑paced team environment working with injured clients and their legal concerns. This is a full‑time, in‑office position at our headquarters in North Charleston, South Carolina. Shift availability is required Monday‑Friday 11:30 am‑8 pm; Saturday either 8 am‑4 pm or 10 am‑6 pm; Sunday either 8 am‑4 pm or 10 am‑6 pm. In addition to an hourly rate, Intake Department staff receive bonuses for each case they successfully sign.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate party (new intake, current client, provider, etc.).
• Build assurance and use empathy while gathering contact information and case details, verifying accuracy to evaluate potential cases.
• Evaluate potential cases using the firm’s case criteria.
• If a case meets criteria and becomes a “want,” assist the potential new client with e‑signing documentation, schedule investigators, or schedule office visits to sign; if hesitation occurs, sell the firm and its services.
• If a case is not a “want,” facilitate referral to one of the firm’s referral partners.
• Exhibit good call control and flow, guiding the client through the questionnaire and keeping call times within target.
• Complete all required fields for the intake correctly in the case management system (Lifity), asking every question in the case type questionnaire.
• Use suggested phrases and selling points.
• Complete assigned tasks on their due date.
• Assist with any additional tasks assigned to intake.

Qualifications

• Prior sales experience preferred.
• Bilingual ability is a plus.
• Prior customer sales experience is a plus.

Pay

Compensation: $19 – $25 per hour, plus bonuses for each case successfully signed.
