Legal Document Specialist - Team Lead (2nd shift Hybrid)

About the role
The Team Lead position is responsible for providing word processing and/or document production services for our clients. This role involves assessing job requests, identifying correct processes, and ensuring appropriate completion throughout the task lifecycle. You will exercise independent judgment using established procedures, standards, and formats to edit, proofread, convert, create, transcribe, or complete document production requests to client satisfaction.
Responsibilities

- Demonstrate intermediate to advanced use of equipment, technology, software, and hardware necessary to perform job functions
- Assist with coordination of document production services, preparation, intake, and workflow within the team
- Troubleshoot complex software or hardware problems
- Utilize appropriate logs and/or tracking software for all assigned work
- Meet contracted deadlines for accepting, completing, and delivering all work
- Communicate with peers, supervisors, or clients on job or deadline issues
- Foster a proactive environment of continuous service enhancement and relationship building with clients
- Handle sensitive and/or confidential documents and information
- Perform Quality Assurance on the work of others
- Train more junior staff members
- Assist peer teams with proofreading, design, or other document production and preparation as needed
- Complete other tasks and assignments as assigned by management
- Interact with clients in person, over the phone, or electronically
- Adhere to Williams Lea policies in addition to client site policies
- Use equipment and supplies in a cost-efficient manner
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; higher education or equivalent work experience preferred
- Minimum 3 years’ experience, preferably in a legal, banking, or large corporate environment
- Document production or word processing experience preferred
- Advanced skill in MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and strong keyboarding/typing skills
- Adept with other software programs for editing and/or creating documents
- Knowledge of legal timekeeping or job tracking systems is preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment, both independently and collaboratively
- Strong ability to prioritize work, balance projects, and meet deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills and emphasis on accuracy and quality
- Ability to handle sensitive and/or confidential documents and information
- Ability to make independent decisions that conform to business needs and policy
- Ability to troubleshoot complex tasks, equipment, or software concerns; knows when to escalate problems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including professional telephone and email etiquette under pressure
- Self-motivated with a positive, can-do attitude
- Proven customer service skills to create, maintain, and enhance customer relationships
- Ability to interact effectively with multi-functional and diverse backgrounds
Pay
$28.29 per hour plus a $2.00 shift differential.
Schedule
2nd shift: Tuesday–Friday, 1:00 PM–9:00 PM and Saturday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM. Hybrid schedule after 90-day probation: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote.
