About the role
We are seeking a Corporate Counsel to provide legal expertise in cloud security, focusing on transactional, regulatory, and compliance matters. You will offer comprehensive legal advice on cloud security issues, navigate complex regulatory frameworks globally, advise on emerging cybersecurity laws, and influence public policy strategies.
As a subject matter expert, you will lead negotiations related to technology, intellectual property, and data licensing, and support global security teams with nuanced legal perspectives and problem-solving in ambiguous situations.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal guidance on cloud security, transactional, and regulatory compliance matters.
- Advise on emerging cybersecurity laws and shape public policy strategies.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on security commitments in enterprise agreements.
- Lead negotiations related to technology, intellectual property, and data licensing.
- Support global security teams with legal perspectives and problem-solving in ambiguous situations.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active bar membership.
- 5+ years of legal experience.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
Skills
- Strong communication, project management, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in corporate law, information security, compliance, and regulatory transactions (preferred).
- Background in both law firm and in-house roles is advantageous.
