No specific education needed, Onsite Created/Revised Date: 08/26/26 Anticipated Closing Date: 09/15/26 Job Title: Billing Specialist (Legal Firm) Location: Los Angeles, CA Salary Pay Range and Other Compensation: $75,000 - $78,000 / year (DOE) Employment Type: Full-Time | Temporary-to-Permanent FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM | 100% Onsite About the Role: A premier law firm is expanding its finance team and seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist for a brand-new, temp-to-perm position. This role requires a professional with direct law firm billing experience who can immediately contribute to daily accounting operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Manage the full-cycle legal billing process, including generating pre-bills, processing revisions, and issuing final client invoices. Review and clear billing entries to ensure compliance with client guidelines and firm policies. Operate specialized legal accounting software to track timekeeper rates, process fee adjustments, and audit ledger entries. Partner directly with firm attorneys and finance leadership to resolve billing disputes and rate inquiries. Support trust accounting functions, account reconciliations, and routine end-of-month financial reporting. Qualifications: 3+ years of hands-on legal billing experience in a law firm environment required. Strong expertise using Aderant or equivalent legal accounting software (e.g., Elite 3E). 100% onsite attendance required. High school diploma or equivalent; relevant hands-on experience is prioritized over formal degree requirements. Immediate availability to interview via Zoom and start upon selection.
