Responsibilities
- Draft and prepare litigation documents including pleadings, motions, affidavits, discovery responses, notices, and correspondence
- E-file documents in Ohio and Kentucky courts and ensure compliance with court rules and deadlines
- Coordinate hearings, schedule court appearances, and maintain attorney calendars
- Serve as a primary point of contact between attorneys, clients, courts, and opposing counsel on assigned matters
- Review and respond to client system messages and inquiries daily
- Assist with case progression through judgment, sale, and post-sale litigation activity
- Maintain organized, accurate electronic case files and ensure budgets and client requirements are met
Requirements
- Prior experience handling mortgage foreclosure litigation matters (Ohio and/or Kentucky strongly preferred)
- 1–3+ years of litigation paralegal or legal assistant experience
- Paralegal certificate, associate degree, bachelor’s degree, or equivalent practical experience
- Strong knowledge of court filing systems, litigation deadlines, and document accuracy standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating with a team
