About the role
Our client is a leading law firm with offices around the world. They are seeking a Litigation Legal Assistant/Paralegal to join their team in New York City. The position is hybrid and requires 4 days in the office per week.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and finalize pleadings, briefs, and legal correspondence, including cite checking and creating TOAs/TOCs using Best Authority
- Manage court filings across federal and state systems, ensuring compliance with local and judge-specific rules
- Coordinate attorney calendars and logistics for meetings, court appearances, depositions, and travel
- Conduct legal research and retrieve materials using a variety of platforms and databases
- Draft standard filings including attorney appearances and motions
- Track attorney time and handle administrative tasks such as generating expense reports and supporting reception coverage as needed
Who You Are
- 5+ years of experience in litigation support, with a strong foundation in both legal assistant and paralegal responsibilities
- Proficient in legal document formatting, TOA/TOC creation, and court filing protocols in both federal and state jurisdictions
- Expert-level bluebooking and cite checking skills and ability to pass skills assessment
- Tech-savvy and skilled in Microsoft Word (legal formatting), Best Authority, Excel, Outlook, and legal research tools including Bloomberg Law, Westlaw, LexisNexis, PACER, and SEC EDGAR
- Familiarity with NetDocs and Surepoint is a plus

Pay
$95,000 – 105,000 annually, based on experience
