This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with a team of three attorneys, including an employment law partner and attorneys focused on business and general litigation.We are looking for a highly organized professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands litigation from start to finish, and can effectively manage competing priorities. Position Summary The Legal Assistant will provide comprehensive litigation and administrative support to attorneys handling employment, business, and general litigation matters. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of litigation legal assistant experience, extensive knowledge of State and Federal Court procedures, and hands-on experience with electronic court filings.This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines under pressure. Key Responsibilities Manage, organize, and maintain client files and internal case documentsPrepare discovery and pleading shells using firm templates and macrosElectronically file court documents in State and Federal CourtsCoordinate service of process and court filingsManage attorney calendars, including court appearances, depositions, deadlines, and meetingsArrange court reporters, videographers, and other vendors for depositionsMonitor and reconcile court dockets and filing deadlinesCommunicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and other partiesContact court clerks regarding procedural and administrative mattersPrepare trial binders, exhibits, and related case materialsConduct legal and factual research and compile relevant informationCoordinate with internal departments to resolve administrative and case-related issuesSupport attorneys with special projects and additional administrative tasks as assigned Qualifications Required Experience & Skills Minimum 3 years of Litigation Legal Assistant experienceStrong knowledge of California State and Federal Court proceduresExperience with electronic court filing (e-filing) systemsExperience preparing discovery materials, pleading shells, and simple pleadingsExperience using legal templates and document automation tools/macrosProficiency with: Microsoft WordOutlookExcelAdobe AcrobatCourt e-filing systemsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong administrative, organizational, and multitasking abilitiesAbility to prioritize effectively and meet critical deadlinesOutstanding attention to detailProfessional, courteous, and client-focused demeanor Personal Attributes Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skillsAble to work independently and collaborativelySelf-motivated, adaptable, and dependableComfortable working under pressure in a busy litigation environmentPositive attitude and strong interpersonal skills Top Three Qualifications At least 3 years of Litigation Legal Assistant experienceStrong knowledge of State and Federal Court procedures, including e-filingExceptional attention to detail, prioritization, organization, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
