Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: A high school diploma or GED is required. A paralegal certificate or associate or bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies or a related field is preferred.
  • Legal Knowledge & Experience: Minimum of 2 years work experience providing legal administrative support. High-level understanding of legal terminology, court procedures, and litigation processes is essential. Proficiency with Bloomberg, Westlaw, LexisNexis File & Serve, Pacer, and electronic filing procedures (both federal and state).
  • Administrative Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office for efficient document management and communication. Excel experience at a mid-expert level (including a high-level proficiency with vlookups, formulas and pivot tables). Excellent typing skills (60 wpm). Excellent organizational and time management skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize assignments effectively. Attention to detail for proofreading legal documents and maintaining accurate records.
  • Communication Skills: Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills are vital. Able to draft professional correspondence, communicate with clients and colleagues, and maintain confidentiality when managing sensitive information.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Schedule Requirements: Willingness and availability to work overtime when needed. Ability to work in-office 4 days/week and 1 day remotely.
  • Physical Requirements: Typing and data entry: Adept with the use of computers to manage schedules, financial records, and communications. Making frequent use of a computer monitor, keyboard and mouse, which can require good hand-eye coordination and finger dexterity. Organizational tasks: This may involve organizing physical files, managing office/kitchen inventory, or setting up spaces for meetings or events. Sitting for extended periods: This role will require someone to often spend long hours sitting at a desk, answering phones, and managing their workload. Standing: Sometimes, they may need to stand while greeting and/or escorting visitors, managing deliveries, moving around the office for meetings, inspections, and coordination with staff. Walking: Moving around the office to deliver messages, managing tasks, assisting with meeting support, coordinating with other employees and visitors. Ability to reach, climb or balance, stoop and kneel to conduct various tasks. Light to moderate lifting: This role may need to lift items on a frequent basis such as office equipment, work products and supplies including boxes of paper, files, office materials, typically weighing 10-35 pounds.

Pay

The annual salary range for this Hourly, Non-Exempt, OT eligible position is $50,000 – $60,000. Salary determination will depend on the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
