About the role
The position seeks a highly motivated candidate with 5 plus years of legal assistant experience. A background in real estate law, real estate loan documentation, real estate zoning, land-use, and or local governments would be highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Welcome the opportunity to learn new skills and work independently while contributing to a team environment.
- Support corporate legal work and commercial real estate matters.
- Prepare and submit court filings, including electronic filing procedures.
- Track deadlines across multiple active matters with strong calendar management skills.
- Support legal documentation related to loan agreements and transactional support.
- Understand civil litigation processes, court requirements, and case coordination.
- Communicate effectively, maintain attention to detail, and handle confidential information professionally.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Legal Assistant role within a law firm or corporate legal environment.
- Hands-on experience preparing and submitting court filings, including electronic filing procedures.
- Strong calendar management skills with the ability to track deadlines across multiple active matters.
- Familiarity with legal documentation related to loan agreements and transactional support.
- Working knowledge of civil litigation processes, court requirements, and case coordination.
- Excellent written communication, attention to detail, and ability to manage confidential information professionally.
Qualifications
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook, and Worldox.
- Strong organizational abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to multi-task and adapt quickly to meet deadlines.
