About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Legal Assistant to support our legal team with administrative and clerical tasks. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a solid understanding of legal terminology. This role will assist in the implementation of the new contract management system.
Responsibilities
- Read and file legal documents, including correspondence, briefs, pleadings, and contracts
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive client and case information
- Perform general administrative duties
- Data entry and organization of legal documents in the contract system
Requirements
- High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or related field preferred
- 1–3 years of experience as a legal assistant, legal secretary, or in a similar administrative role (experience requirements may be adjusted based on seniority level)
- Familiarity with legal terminology and document formatting standards
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
- Proficiency in Google Drive and email
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Discretion in handling confidential information
Pay
$40-55/hr
