About the role

Fennemore is a national, full-service law firm with a 140-year legacy and a modern approach to delivering legal services. We are seeking a full-time Legal Administrative Assistant to support our Litigation team in Walnut Creek. This is a hybrid role with three days in the office and two days remote each week.

Responsibilities

  • Support multiple attorneys with daily administrative and litigation-related tasks.
  • Manage calendars, scheduling, deadlines, and court docketing.
  • Format, proofread, and finalize legal documents and correspondence.
  • Conduct online research, including PACER and court and agency databases.
  • Help with conflict checks and retention letters.
  • Communicate with clients and colleagues by phone, email, and in person.
  • Organize and maintain files; prepare case binders and related materials.
  • Submit court filings, including e-filing.
  • Track CLE requirements and coordinate projects with other departments.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of litigation legal administrative assistant experience.
  • Advanced command of the English language, including spelling, grammar, and formatting.
  • Comfortable working with confidential information.
  • Familiarity with the preparation of tables of contents and tables of authorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with DocuSign, Adobe, or Kofax.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Labor & Employment support experience.
  • Experience with iManage and/or Intapp.
