About the role
Polsinelli is seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant in the Business Department in their Kansas City office. The ideal candidate should have 5+ years of relevant experience in a law firm, particularly in corporate, transactional, and mergers and acquisitions.
Responsibilities
- Manage files, open new matters as requested by attorneys, and maintain all relevant document inclusions for the files.
- Responsible for a broad variety of administrative tasks including strong organizational skills that reflect the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with meticulous attention to detail.
- Manage calendars and travel schedules.
- Manage and update client and attorney contact information.
- Prepare and distribute correspondence, reports, and other documents.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and deliveries.
- Coordinate meetings and events.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must possess 5+ years of legal administrative assistant experience in a law firm, with emphasis on corporate and transactional, and mergers and acquisitions.
- Excellent working knowledge of MS Office Suite, including expertise in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (particularly Outlook).
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.
- Fast-paced environment experience.
- Expert-level written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated active approaches to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve high-performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
