Lecturer Pool - Music AY 2026/2027
California State University San Marcos invites applications for its part-time Lecturer pool in the Department of Music. This pool is used to fill short-term, temporary positions lasting from one day to a full semester, with the possibility of reappointment. Applications are valid only for the 2026/2027 academic year and will close on May 31st.
Minimum Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Professional experience related to the position
Per the California State University’s Out-of-State Employment Policy, employment is contingent upon working in the State of California.
Preferred Qualifications
- A Master of Fine Arts, doctorate degree, or equivalent
- Experience teaching cultural/social somatics in higher education
- Demonstrated intercultural competence and a commitment to serving the campus community in teaching and service
Pay
Anticipated hiring salary range: $5,507 – $8,000 per full-time month, commensurate with education and experience. The salary schedule for the Lecturer – Academic Year classification is as follows:
- Lecturer A – AY: $5,507 – $6,677 per full-time month
- Lecturer B – AY: $6,221 – $13,224 per full-time month
The anticipated hiring range is generally at or near the minimum of the appropriate range.
