California State University San Marcos invites applications on an ongoing basis for part-time lecturer positions in the Department of Dance Studies. Appointments may range from one day to a full semester and are used to fill short-term temporary vacancies as needed throughout the academic year. Applications in this pool are valid only for the 2026/2027 academic year and will close on May 31st.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Professional experience related to the position
- Employment is contingent upon working in the State of California, per the CSU Out-of-State Employment Policy
Qualifications
- A Master of Fine Arts, doctorate degree, or equivalent
- Experience teaching cultural/social somatics in higher education
- Demonstrated intercultural competence and a commitment to serving the campus community through teaching and service
Pay
Anticipated hiring salary range: $5,507 – $8,000 per full-time month. Salary is commensurate with degree level and experience, generally at or near the minimum of the appropriate range.
- Lecturer A – Academic Year: $5,507 – $6,677 per full-time month
- Lecturer B – Academic Year: $6,221 – $13,224 per full-time month
