About the role
The Department of Dance, Music, and Theatre at Cal Poly Humboldt seeks to hire temporary faculty members to join our vibrant and diverse community.
Responsibilities
- Teach dance, music, and theatre courses at the college level.
- Work within the goals and objectives of the Department of Dance, Music, and Theatre.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and collaboration with peers.
Requirements
- Dance Degree: B.A. in appropriate field is required. Preference given to those with an earned M.F.A.
- Musical Degree: Bachelor's degree with advanced-level studies relevant to the courses being taught is required. Preference given to those with a Master's degree or Doctorate in Music Theory, Composition, Musicology, or Music Education.
- Theatre Degree: M.A. in appropriate field is generally required, however B.A. plus teaching experience will be considered for select courses. Preference given to candidates holding a M.F.A. or Ph.D.
Qualifications
- Dance: Successful teaching experience at the college level and/or professional work experience related to the appropriate field is required. Evidence of teaching effectiveness via evaluations is preferred.

Pay
- Salary dependent on qualifications and experience.
- Monthly base salaries are prorated to the number of units worked and paid in six (6) monthly payments for each full semester.
