Lecturer (Part-Time) Psychology, Sociology or related field

Responsibilities

• Prepare course materials and pedagogy to achieve course learning goals and objectives.
• Employ appropriate pedagogy for the assigned courses.
• Conduct classes and deliver course material on assigned days and times.
• Utilize University Learning Management System (LMS) to deliver course information to students.
• Evaluate and grade student work in a timely manner.
• Maintain availability to students during posted hours to assist students.
• Respond in a timely manner to departmental and student communications.
• Meet periodically with supervisors and colleagues for collaboration, training, and development.
• Participate in departmental efforts to assess student learning.
• Respond appropriately to the needs of a diverse population.

Qualifications

• A master’s or Ph.D. degree in psychology or a closely related field from an accredited university is preferred.
• A commitment to outstanding teaching and delivering an excellent student experience is required.
• Previous teaching experience at the university level is preferred.
