About the role

The Department of Psychology at The Pennsylvania State University seeks Adjunct Lecturers of Psychology for the Fall 2026 semester. Lecturers will teach practicum courses in clinical psychology, with assignments available for both online and classroom settings.

Responsibilities

  • Teach one to two courses per semester based on departmental needs and agreed-upon courses.
  • Adhere to Policy HR103 and, for current University employees, obtain approval from their primary work unit before accepting additional appointments.

Requirements

  • Previous teaching experience and alignment with the department’s teaching needs.
  • Demonstrated commitment to building an inclusive, equitable, and diverse campus community, or a clear vision for how to do so.
  • Ph.D. preferred; at least ABD status required.

Qualifications

Candidates should submit a letter of application, including concise statements of teaching experience and interests, and a CV for full consideration.

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of background checks in accordance with University policies. The initial contract period is one semester, with potential for renewal based on funding and performance.
