About the role

The Department of Psychology at West Virginia University invites applications for part-time adjunct teaching positions. Areas of need include general Psychology, advanced behavior analysis and behaviorism, research methods, neuroscience, and development across the lifespan at the undergraduate level, and coursework and practicum supervision in behavior analysis, lifespan development, foundational neuroscience, or clinical psychology at the graduate level. The successful candidate will teach in-person or online courses in the Department of Psychology’s undergraduate and graduate programs.

Responsibilities

  • Teach in-person or online courses in the Department of Psychology’s undergraduate and graduate programs.

Requirements

  • A master’s or doctoral degree in psychology or a closely related discipline.
  • Evidence of effective teaching at the undergraduate or graduate level.

Qualifications

  • Generally, individuals with a doctoral degree are eligible to teach graduate or undergraduate courses; individuals with a master’s degree are eligible to teach undergraduate courses.

Skills

  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to teach in-person or online courses.
