Lecturer - Finance
About the role
The Department of Accounting and Finance in the Austin E. Cofrin School of Business at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay seeks applicants for a 9-month instructor position in Finance for the academic year 2026-27.
Responsibilities
- Teach a variety of undergraduate and/or graduate courses in financial planning and finance.
- Mentor students in the “transcripts to resumes” program.
- Perform scholarly activities consistent with rank.
- Perform institutional and community service.
- Contribute to ongoing program development within the Austin E. Cofrin School of Business.
- Participate fully in the Austin E. Cofrin School of Business’ AACSB accreditation efforts.
Requirements
- Doctorate/ABD status from an institution supporting an AACSB accredited business school, or Master’s Degree in Finance or Business with a specialization in Finance plus 3+ years of relevant professional experience.
- Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching.
- Evidence of engagement in institutional, community, and professional endeavors.
Qualifications
- Doctorate/ABD status from an institution supporting an AACSB accredited business school, or Master’s Degree in Finance or Business with a specialization in Finance plus 3+ years of relevant professional experience.

Skills
- University-level teaching experience.
- CFA designations.
- Knowledge of and experience using finance and capital market software (e.g. Bloomberg, Morningstar Direct, or FactSet).
- The ability to teach a variety of classes in the Finance curriculum.
- Engagement in institutional, community, and professional service.
- Experience working in the world of business.
Benefits

Schedule
The home campus of this position is Green Bay and the successful candidate may occasionally be required to teach a course or work at the Sheboygan or Manitowoc Campus, based on operational needs. Courses will be taught both face-to-face and online (in asynchronous and synchronous formats). The specific courses taught may vary from semester to semester.
