About the role
The Lecturer (Education Focused) – School of Population Health role is based in Sydney, NSW, Australia. This is a 3-year fixed term contract position offering a salary of $133,065 base pro rata, plus 17% superannuation and leave loading.
Responsibilities
- Drive educational excellence within the university’s teaching and learning communities.
- Deliver engaging learning experiences and develop contemporary resources for postgraduate students.
- Support diverse student cohorts to achieve strong academic and employability outcomes.
- Contribute to advancing teaching practices, leveraging educational technologies, and fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Collaborate with a dynamic academic community to enhance the educational experience of postgraduate students.
Requirements
- A PhD in Biostatistics or a related discipline, and/or relevant work experience.
- Demonstrated experience in teaching and learning design, development, and delivery at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
- Experience using and/or designing with educational technologies and online delivery methods.
- Evidence of teaching effectiveness and passion for educational excellence.
- Ability to teach using First Nations culturally capable approaches, or willingness to develop this capability.
- Evidence of highly developed interpersonal and organisational skills.
- Ability to support and inspire students from diverse backgrounds and support student equity, diversity, and inclusion initiatives.
Qualifications
The successful candidate must hold full rights to work in Australia to be considered for this position.
Skills
