About the role
The Lecturer EF position is based in Sydney, NSW, Australia. It is a part-time role with a 3-year fixed term contract.
Responsibilities
- Drive educational excellence within the university's teaching and learning communities.
- Deliver engaging learning experiences and develop contemporary resources.
- Support diverse student cohorts to achieve strong academic and employability outcomes.
- Contribute to advancing teaching practices, leveraging educational technologies, and fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Collaborate with a dynamic academic community to enhance the educational experience of postgraduate students.
Requirements
- A PhD in Biostatistics or a related discipline, and/or relevant work experience.
- Demonstrated experience in teaching and learning design, development, and delivery at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
- Capacity to teach using First Nations culturally capable approaches, or willingness to develop this capability.
- Experience using and/or designing with educational technologies and online delivery methods.
- Evidence of teaching effectiveness and passion for educational excellence.
- Design and develop learning activities and resources, and assessment and feedback using a range of suitable approaches and learning environments.
- Evidence of highly developed interpersonal and organisational skills.
- Ability to support and inspire students from diverse backgrounds and support student equity, diversity, and inclusion initiatives.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will hold a PhD in Biostatistics or a related discipline, and/or relevant work experience.
