Lecturer - Business 324: Introduction to Business Analytics (Fall 2026)
College of Business Administration at California State University San Marcos seeks a part-time lecturer for Fall 2026 to teach a section of BUS 324: Introduction to Business Analytics.
About the role
This in-person course introduces business analytics concepts and tools used in various business functions, covering predictive and prescriptive modeling/analytics.
- Predictive analytics: statistical data for business problem-solving, including descriptive statistics, hypothesis testing, ANOVA, simple/multiple regression analysis, and statistical data-mining models.
- Prescriptive analytics: deterministic optimization models, with introduction to statistical software and spreadsheet optimization.
Schedule: Day to be determined; Time: 5:30 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. Location: Southwestern College Campus, Chula Vista.
Requirements
- A master's degree in business administration or a related discipline.
- Active current industry experience in an analytics-related position.

Preferred Qualifications
- A doctorate or terminal degree in a relevant field.
- Previous teaching experience at a four-year university and/or community college.
- Demonstrated intercultural competence and a commitment to serving the campus community in teaching and service.
Pay
Anticipated hiring salary range: $5,507 – $6,677 per full-time month. Salary is commensurate with education and experience, generally at or near the minimum of the appropriate range.
