Responsibilities

  • Attract and screen potential tenants
  • Provide information about available properties
  • Negotiate lease terms
  • Ensure a smooth leasing process
  • Lease properties to prospective tenants
  • Ensure high occupancy rates
  • Maintain positive relationships with current residents
  • Market and promote available properties
  • Conduct property tours
  • Screens applicants
  • Prepare lease paperwork
  • Assist future residents with move-ins
  • Respond to inquiries
  • Make appointments
  • Complete weekly, monthly, and special reports
  • Determine resident needs
  • Respond to resident concerns
  • Explain lease and community policies
  • Plan, organize, and conduct resident functions
  • Uphold ethical standards, fair housing regulations, and company policies
  • Work at least one to two weekends per month

Qualifications

  • Valid Drivers License
  • 1+ year of sales or leasing experience (preferred)
  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

  • Show strong negotiating and sales abilities
  • Show excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Show detail-oriented and organizational skills
  • Show knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and other Office products
  • Show knowledge of internet, email, and social media for marketing
  • Show knowledge of property management software
  • Show understanding of business practices and principles
  • Show ability to handle multiple projects and tasks
  • Show ability to cope with stress
  • Show ability to respect and maintain confidentiality
  • Show ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Show flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
