About the role

The Leasing Coordinator supports all leasing, lease transfer, outreach, and housing process activities for a student apartment community. This role serves as a primary point of contact for prospective and current residents and their stakeholders, while ensuring accurate data management, professional customer service, and successful execution of leasing and marketing initiatives. The Leasing Coordinator is expected to project a customer-focused, professional image through in-person, online, and telephone interactions with all internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate information regarding leasing, lease transfers, occupancy policies, and occupancy processes.
  • Conduct leasing and lease transfer appointments, including resident file creation and documentation management.
  • Support resident move-in, move-out, Apartment Selection, and inspection processes.
  • Respond to resident inquiries in a professional and timely manner, escalating complex concerns to appropriate staff when necessary.
  • Deliver a positive resident experience through professional in-person, phone, and electronic communication.
  • Affiliate with community outreach initiatives, information sessions, tours, tabling events, marketing surveys, and special events.
  • Support outreach and retention initiatives through event coordination, publication updates, and community engagement efforts.
  • Maintain awareness of local market trends to support occupancy.
  • Maintain accurate resident and leasing records within database management systems, including Entrata, StarRez, and DocuSign.
  • Prepare and complete weekly occupancy reports and other operational reporting requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits of resident files and database records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborate with the Accounts Manager and other departments to ensure account and billing accuracy.
  • Maintain a professional, organized, and welcoming office environment.
  • Support Information Desk operations, and other general administrative functions.
  • Affiliate with special projects and additional operational responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 0-2 years entry level experience in college student housing administration or property management leasing operations.
  • Experience with campus marketing and assisting with community tours.
  • Experience and knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to operate basic office equipment including a photocopier, fax, and telephone.
  • Basic typing and filing skills.
  • Ability to work in office Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm. Occasional evening or weekend availability may be required during peak leasing periods, move-in/move-out operations, and special events.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze occupancy data and develop strategic plans.
  • Ability to move and lift up to 35 pounds.

Pay

$21.00-$22.00 per hour and comprehensive benefits package.

Schedule

Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm. Occasional evening or weekend availability may be required during peak leasing periods, move-in/move-out operations, and special events.
