About the Role
Responsible for the leasing of all apartments, including handling prospective resident phone calls, performing miscellaneous clerical duties, and supporting office personnel. Weekend hours include rotating Saturdays from 10 AM to 5 PM.
Responsibilities
- Lease apartments at the highest effective rent level possible while maintaining strong customer service and satisfaction.
- Maintain a courteous and helpful attitude at all times.
- Respond promptly and courteously to resident requests and help resolve resident issues.
- Be aware of company and community policies and explain them to residents and potential residents.
- Accurately complete lease-related documents in a timely manner and maintain comprehensive knowledge of them.
- Maintain accurate resident files in accordance with company policy.
- Enter resident and potential resident data into the computer system as per company policy.
- Assist in developing and maintaining a resident retention/renewal program to achieve optimum increases and conversion ratios.
- Inspect apartments prior to move-in to ensure they are market-ready.
- Assist in leasing activities and resident relations.
- Stay informed about rent levels and amenities of competitive communities.
- Be knowledgeable about community and area facts and statistics.
- Assist in preparing competitive market survey reports as needed.
- Greet new residents and assist with the move-in process.
- Verify application data and qualify potential residents.
- Show model and available ready vacancies.
- Participate in coordinating community-sponsored events.
- Become certified as a Leasing Specialist through the company’s in-house training program.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
